Age limit on Drinking

I have never been asked for ID but then again I am over 40 - but only just! [msnwink]

I too was aked for it, I was 34 at the time!

I also got asked and was 32. strange they need to ask someone who looks more than 21.

They are legal obliged to ask for ID for anybody they think looks under 27, and many places use 30 as a guide.

If you buy drink in Walmart or other supermarkets, it comes up on the till to remind the cashier to check if the person looks under 30.

Taking this thread a bit further. We were dining in The Olive Garden on the US192 not more than 3 weeks. We ordered a bottle of red wine recomended by the waiter as we asked him to. We do now and again at home offer our eldest daughter a small glass of wine to try and if she wants to try it then so be it, if she doesn't then no problem. Not knowing the law in the US we asked if it was OK for our daughter to try a small sip. He said that waiters can be found a rather large amount of money and loose there jobs if under age people are caught drinking alcoholic beverages. We said no problem and ordered Emma a Sprite. Could anyone enlighten me on the laws as I didn,t no and felt rather guilty for some reason. [:o)]

It is quite an easy law to understand for once; it should be assumed that no one under the age of 21 is alowed to drink alcohol anywhere! The person suppling it get get into big trouble..
