We are going out for last week of May and into June. We have planned everything. Not too worried about the heat and humidity. As long as you keep the fluid intake up, plenty of suncream and wear hats everything should be ok. We plan to keep out of the Mid day sun.[msncool]

I fully endorse what everyone else has said. If you plan your day with precision, deciding which rides you absolutely must go on and then make sure you arrive at the park as soon as it opens. Then go to the big rides first even if they're across the other side of the park. We have always been in July and August because of school holidays and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for any ride. By arriving at 8am you have done everything you want to do by noon and are ready to head for home and miss the crowds (and the traffic). There is a really good book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" that also gives you lots of tips on the order in which to go on rides and visit parks and we found it absolutely worth it's weight in gold.

WE took the kids for the first time June 2003 and we had no trouble. We were in MK for opening on our first day and managed to get most of the rides done by 2pm. We then hopped over the AK and went on the Rapid Ride 5 times on the trot as the park was so quiet. It did rain a bit in the afternoons but soon cleared up and we dried of fine. I am sure you will have a great time.

I am always there in the month of June and have visited the parks on occasion in June and found them less crowded then going in July and August.

Thanks for the great response, all the tips are really useful.
Thanks everyone.

Yes I will try to get to the theme parks as early as I can. I believe they open at 9am. Can you actually get onto the grounds and park up before 9am or do they only let you drive in at 9am? I have heard that in disney only those who stay in a disney hotel can get in at 8am.
I want to start as early in the day as allowed as it takes a while to get bags searched and mono rail in disney.
Thanks again for the good advice.

You'll have fun in June. Just be ready for the storms (4pm sharp!), the traffic, the heat my god the heat!
As the others said take advantage of fastpass. It'll get you on the rides far quicker than linning up. And linning up in 90dgrs with 100% humidity can be a chore!
Maybe think about taking a day and exploring. I've posted before about St. Augustine, but it's a wonderful place for a day visit. Or maybe get a hotel for a night. There are many beach front hotels where you can sit on your balcany and watch the storms as you sip margaritas!

We went in late July early Aug last year thinking it would br crowded.....but to us who can't get into any kind of eating house for 5 months of the year without an hour or more wait......it was nice to just walk into most places even in high season......I found the parks OK but to humid for me......we had no wait for anything at Epcot......but then I have my plan for that place and it works every time........

We are really looking forward to going to florida in June and know it will be hot and busier than when we went before in February. Some people I have spoken to have said that June is one of the worst times to go and that you will be lucky to get on 2 rides in a day due to it being so busy.
Does anyone have any tips or experiences of visiting florida in June?
Thanks for any tips.

What rubbish!
We have been twice in June!
Yes it is busier than Feb, our advice is to take note of the guides on when to visit what parks.
We went our first time in june and knew nothing about the best days to go, still did and saw everything we wanted to EVERYDAY we went.
Remember it is a holiday and not a race to get everywhere at once, enjoy the surroundings and you will find you will see and do much more.
Make use of the FAST PASS at Disney and guest services.
They can advise you on best times to visit each attraction.
If the children are getting hot and bothered, come out of the park and go swimming or something for an hour or two then return and enjoy the rest of your day.
You'll love this time of year.
Why not do something different and go to a Baseball game.
Great day out especially for the children, If the ball ends up in the Stands, and the children find them, they keep them!
They can also have them signed by the players.

You can park before the parks open (and the earlier you get there, the closer you are to the gates, and most of them will let people in from 8am, unless we've been extraordinarily lucky at the ones we've been to anyway and we've never stayed at a disney hotel/resort.
