good morning everyone
Alison i've sent you a dm, i don't think of myself and my situation as being in any way tragic, frustrating yes and a challenge too but as my old nan used to say "count your blessings because there is always someone worse off", one of my closest friends is watching her child die a little bit more everyday and despite having her own worries and fears she has supported me and whenever i'm down she lifts me back up again[grouphug]
i think life is a challenge perhaps set by the big fella upstairs and as i constantly joke with my darling husband that if i ever get into heaven i am expecting an executive box with all the trimmings [msnwink][msnsmile2]
well another day and i'm fully prepared food wise[angel] i need to be good so i can enjoy bettys without feeling guilty[msneek] and its open evening at my sons school today so i'm off to look at his work later
have a good day everyone

Another lovely day here, ate out last night at the Zen restaurant and the Omni at Championsgate, not cheap but had a lovely meal, and the gals were so thrilled to have somewhere to go where they could dress up! We decided to forgo the 4th July celebrations in view of the possible problems with parking at Celebration, so we watched and heard the fireworks while outside anyway!
We didn't get to Cape Kennedy yesterday as DH was golfing at Southern Dunes in the morning, and didn't get home until 1.30 - so we would have missed the launch anyway. We watched it on the tv and then shot outside to see it overhead. Cue huge rainstorm so we stood outside like drowned rats walking down the end of our road and then in a few minutes saw it streaking across the sky. It was so cloudy here that we couldn's see it every so often, but Pips has a picture of this flash in the sky!
Today we are gardening, visiting home depot for the pressure washer so I can wash the entrance and deck down, and seeing if the magic eraser works where everyone has scuffed the walls, or do we have to touch-up with paint! Can't believe Saturday is our last day and as usual we are running out of time to do everything. We are so looking forward to Missouri, which is going to be the first proper holiday for 4 years! We have to fit in a trip to the Premium Outlet or there will be a riot from the gals, so I think that is part of today's plan as well.
We haven't been at this time of the year before - usually mid to late July or August in the summer, and it doesn't seem quite as humid as then. Although we have afternoon showers and the odd spectacular storm, it doesn't seem as hot either, late 80's, so is v pleasant. Have to get some trainers as only have flip-flops at the mo, and when it rains feet slide all round the place in them[msnsmile2]!
Have a good day all, fruit for brekkies, fritatta for lunch (told you it was time to start back on that) and supper will be barbie and salad - prawn kebabs I think. So far have resisted the apple pie & b&Js vanilla ice cream but not the fish food!!
Sounds like you are having a wonderful time Fiona, glad you are enjoyting yourself and enjoy Missouri[clap][clap][clap]
I am off now to have my spray tan - had gift vouchers from my birthday in March, just hope its looks OK[msnscared][msneek][msnoo]
Check in again later[msnwink]
