Not doing to well here[msnscared]
Can't seem to get into it.
Jill is back this morning and I will be seeing her later as she will be collecting Tansy. Then on Wednesday she is having Bosun while we go.
Nice and sunny here to, yesterday was torrential rain all day. Trying to clear up after having 2 dogs running around in the garden and rolling about playing, my downstairs floor is disgusting.
More packing to do this weekend, nearly ready now[msnsmile2]

Well we are back home, had a dreadful drive back from Gatwick after having to wait for an hour for our second case, roadworks everywhere. It took over 2 hours and we normally do it in just over 1 hour. DH has now gone to bed for a couple of hours. I have been catching up with the post and the computer.
We had a lovely and relaxing last two days as we were staying with friends up the road from our villa. Ate and drank far too much so the 2lbs on Wednesday has probably become 4lbs. Still I have until Thursday to get it off. Tomorrow we are off to MILs for her birthday dinner so will have to be good. I will volunteer to drive.
I am just about to ring Sally and arrange to go and collect Tansy.
Back to food diary from tomorrow to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Hello all. More bad news yesterday which is why most of the day we were at the hospital. It seems there is now a possibility that the cancer can have spread to the bone. So we now have 2 options: proceed as planned with radiotherapty treatment now essential rather than a belt and braces, or cancel this op and reschedule for far more invasive surgery with bone removed, loss of hearing in that ear forever, etc etc.
Not able to talk to surgeon or oncologist or even our MacMillan nurse yesterday but surgeon's recommendation appears to be to carry on as planned, and if necessary they will re-operate further down the line if it has jumped to the bone. We would just like some reassurance from oncology that they feel the radiation will give her a lions chance (at least) of it having zapped the cells.
Funnily enough diet not exactly being kept to! Got home exhausted around 6.00pm last night feeling like I had been through a wringer. So takeway chinese for supper along with a very welcome glass of wine.
However more or less back on track today, porridge, egg & tomato roll & fruit for lunch and making a curry for supper.
Tomorrow we are down to MIL and breaking the news to her, she never understood about my breast cancer so not expecting her to be any clearer on this one either. Lunch will be at a Brewer's Fayre ([sick]) so looks like another slimming meal will be needed in the evening and I will have to be v careful Monday, particularly if I am still thinking of going to another class to be weighed. Might do a naughty and hop on the scales, no point in going if it is up I think!

Oh Fiona.....[grouphug][grouphug] There's got to be some good news soon for you. I cant believe that you seem to be coping so well and even thinking about dieting in amongst it all. Good luck with the MIL!! How anyone cant understand is unbelievable (but true I know!!)[grouphug]

Thinking of you and all your family Fiona.[grouphug]

Our thoughts are with you and ED Fiona, really hope things are not as bad and that the cancer has not spread to the bone[grouphug][grouphug] You are doing so well to even slightly stay on track[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug] Hope MIL is understanding.
-
Oh Fiona, I am really sorry that the news was worse than expected for you. I sincerely hope that things go well for ED and the news turns out to be not as bad as it seems. You surely are due for a whole heap of good things to happen in the future and I cannot believe that you are even thinking about your diet at this time[grouphug] Just try to concentrate on getting through these bad times and dont worry too much about your weigh in, that honestly is the least of your worries and if you stay the same or even gain a lb or 2 that can be sorted when your life gets on a more even keel.
I will be thinking of you and your family and wishing for the good news that you deserve.
Take care and dont forget to look after yourself.
