Advance Flight Bookings
Has anyone used the Pre-advanced Flight booking service with chartertravel. I have contacted them and they can pre-advance book us flights for June 2005 now. We need to pay £100 each deposit and then the balance before we travel (think 12 weeks). I know that the price they give us now is not guaranteed, but has anyone else used this service and was it successful[?]:)

I have used it myself, but not so far in advance. I paid the £100 deposit to Charter Travel in June 2003 for April 2004 flights. We paid the balance 12 weeks before ie in late January this year. They seem to be helpful and reliable; moreover one agent knows (or can access) at least broad aspects of her/his colleague's clients' details, which helps when you call and 'your' agent is unavailable.

We booked last September for this August and all was well, we got all the paperwork
straight away and have to pay the final amount this May

i booked with a company called jetlife on a pre allocation basis in june 2003 for flights going oct 2004 for 10 people, with virgin.we waited till nov 2003 when the seats are released only to be told that there allocation had been used and no seats were left.this left the question what was there allocation and how many people were allowed to go on the pre-allocation waiting list,it seems to me that they had a £50pp gaining interest in there bank with there allocation over subsribed.i have spoke to charter travel about 2005 and they seen more professional and i intend to go down the pre allocation for 14 people in oct 2005, i will up date in nov when hopefully we have our seats
