Birthdays
I am lucky enough ot unlucky emough depending on which way you look at it to have my Daughters and Wifes birthdays falling on consecutive days in April whilst on holiday in Orlando.
I have booked the birthday package at Discovery Cove for my daughter but am looking for inspiration for both of them on the actual day/s.
My daughter will be 12 and my wifes a little older.
Any suggestions for special occassions and resaurants appreciated.

Have you tried a champagne brunch on a Sunday. The Renaissance (next door to Seaworld)do a fantastic one for about $45. (orange juice for the little ones and probably a reduced price too)
We spent Xmas day and our daughter's 24th birthday there-it's well recommended.
Character breakfasts also go down well at the theme parks.

Hi Frodo
Welcome to the forum! How great for your wife and daughter to be able to celebrate their birthdays in Florida.
Well, I guess it depends on how much you want to spend and what they like doing...
What about a champagne balloon ride on one of the days for one of them and perhaps a character breakfast for the other one? (You can decide which one would prefer which!).
Or a dinner river cruise? Or a dinner show? Or most of the parks do 'in depth' tours like Animal Kingdom backstage safari http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw...ursListingPage or at Seaworld you can do Trainer for a Day http://www.seaworld.com/seaworld/fla...for_a_day.aspx

its my mums birthday while we are there this year, im thinking of the balloon ride for a treat

One of my guests did that. You have to get up early as they only do morning ones-and after Sept 11th they stopped them flying over Disney-but they might have relaxed things a bit since then-I don't know.

ok thanks will check it out later

Disney now has strict regulations on how low you can fly over, and hot air balloons are not allowed to fly over the parks. My Dad did this with orange Blossom Balloons at xmas (www.orangeblossomballoons.com) who are run by british people. They were great and you get a champagne buffet breakfast afterwards which non-flyers can pay a small amount to join in on.

Ah words of wisdom. The balloon flight it is for the Older women and Discovery Cove for the young one.
Cheers all

How about a birthday cruise at Disney? I believe you can hire a pontoon boat, decorated up with balloons & streamers. Cake included.
