Best Indian Restaurant

As a Brit living in Florida trying to find a half descent Indian curry has been a challenge.
The good news, The Gate way to India.
A Indian family owned curry house here in Sarasota.
Has been open about 3 years and the food is excellent.
Service can be slow, But its all about the food.
Great owners and staff.
They have just opened a new location in Brandon.
Have been twice, Also good food.
Anybody else have a favorite place let us know.

aww Indian food is my favourite! hope someone can point us in the direction for our next trip (we stay in kissimmee) which isnt for another 327 days.. going out for indian tonight mmmmmm[party1]

Hi Liesa Anna, When we go to Orlando we always eat at the Aashirwad.
Its on International drive and Kirkman, Near Bill wongs chinese buffet.
Always busy, good food.

Thanks SSK, will add to my 'to do list'

I've always liked Passage to India on the 192, although I find it a little expensive. New Punjab on I-Drive isn't bad either - a little more authentic Punjabi than Passage to India.

Will put them both on the list.

Will add them to our list been looking for a good Indian restaurant in the Orlando area for years, tried loads and not found one yet so will give them a go.

Never found a decent Indian restaurant around despite trying most of them. We don't bother now and when we get back to UK, our local Indian restaurant is our first point of call. It tastes even better when one has been 'deprived' for a few weeks!!!! We have stopped trying in and around Kissimmee as we have always been disappointed.
