Food Truck Bazaar
I had not been aware of this new craze, Food trucking, until I came over with my son for an unexpected visit. He was telling me about the enterprising way new businesses are trying to start up restaurants without the pitfalls of buying a premises and not being successful against the big franchises. They go on the road with their restaurant style fayre and gather together as Food Truck Bazzars. There is a collection of them at Historic Kissimmee outside the Civic Centre on the first Friday of each month. You also can follow individual trucks on Twitter to see where they will be.
We went last Friday. It was very busy. Families gathered around with their own picnic tables and rugs or any handy bench or wall. You can go to the different trucks and create your own familly tasting buffet. Please don't think hot dog type stalls or burger vans. The food was very much more upscale and quite delicious.
If you like to do something different as well as join the local community ,you might want to give this a try.

Sounds worth a try![msntongue]

Sounds nice, and its a nice way for small business to start as the big corporates don't need to worry about start ups, as it is they are taking over

when we went to Geneva once with the firework championships on , all around the lake they had a mine food festival based there with International cuisines from around the world. The only problem was trying to choose which to eat, as even my capacity for food has some limits. Will definitely try the Kissimmee one at Christmas if it is still around

Food Truck Bazaar
Was at the one in Kissimmee in July. Had lovely quesadillas served from a man originally from Nottingham. Really good food at all the tricks. Food trick bazaar has Facebook page that you can see who is going to each location. Great idea.

These trucks are often featured on the food channels. We visited one recently in Vancouver that was 'famous' for its smoothies and juices - kids loved it - there was a long queue but they were very organised, 2 working and one taking orders, even took card payments. We saw lots of them, particularly around the tourist areas and parks.

We saw 4 different one's last week in and a round the kissimmee area but sadly never tried them.wish we had now .
