I much prefer City Walk-I always find DD a bit of a soulless place-and unless you go in high summer-cold and windy!
I much prefer CW- I think it has a far better atmosphere-is much more interesting and warmer on account of not being in the shade of those huge buildings like you have at DD

We havebeen to both several times and I think it all depends upon who you are with and what is going on that particular night. We love the atmosphere at Downtown Disney and every time have a great time. City walk I think it really depends on what is going on. We have left CW bored to tears, and ohter nights didn't want to go home. Bonnie
Have to say that I fell City Walk is much more of an adult place than downtown disney. I think it also depends on what you want to get out of your visit, if you're after wild night life then yes city walk is better!!!
