Loma Vista Area
Hi,
We are visiting for the first time over Easter 2004 (7 weeks and counting[msnsmile]) I have read a lot of your excellent reviews etc, but i have seen next to nothing on the Loma Vista area.
A little information about the area would be welcome.
We will be arriving very late at night and will need some provisions for the morning. Is there anywhere on route that is open late, or is it best to get the basics at MCO

Loma Vista is located on the CR54. You will be able to get provisions at the Publix at Championsgate. It's just off the I4 at exit 58.
-
Is that Publix 24 hours? I thought it closed about 9pm[:I]

Sorry I think I have made a mistake. The Lomas I am thinking of on the CR54 are Loma Del Sol and Loma Linda.[msnembarrased]

Thanks for the info.

Loma Vista is right near Loma Linda. My next door neighbour (here in the UK) owned a villa on Loma Linda about 13 years ago.
When we were driving down the 54 once we spotted the are where the Lomas are located.

Yes OB, you're right. Just checked my map and it is across the road from Loma Linda on the 54. Near the 27 end.
My brain is pickled at the moment [msnsmile]

Hi The Squire,
Ruth is spot on about Publix at Champions Gate. The Chevron gas station at the Old Lake Wilson Road/CR54 junction closes at 10 pm. Walgrens stock a few basics at the Junction of CR54/US27. but I do not know their closing time. Your other option is to ask the owner for a welcome pack.
Mike.

Colin,
I cannot remember seeing anywhere to buy provisions at Orlando Airport. But you will find a number of 7/11's enroute providing you stay off the toll roads. If you take 17/92 to Kissimmee, and follow the 192 towards Disney you will pass Walmart - this is open 24/7.
