ZENA'S TRIP DAYS 5 TO 14
Most days have been fairly uneventful so I decided to condence it down to one posting.
Bags are nearly packed and as per usual I've had to get another bag from the nearby flea market.
Sister and husband are shaking their heads as every year I say I'm not going to buy very much.
Sunday Chris took a day off from golfing and insisted we all go to the Florida Mall. I looked in Maceys for some pillows but they had a very poor collection. When they were Burdines I used to always buy my pillows there. He finished his shopping and we went to Beds Bath and Beyond. There I found feather pillows for 19.99, tried them out and they are very comfortable.
On Monday we went to Beals Outlet at Marker 13, came out with a trolley full of goodies, husbands not seen the handbags yet. I may be able to unpack them before he finds out.[msnembarrased]
I had a full shoppers card so got a further 20% off. [clap]
Tuesday we went to Ross at Osceola Mall and I found a posh frock to wear on the cruise, dressy tops and a sheet set.
Not keen on this heat, still 93f, my sister and I prefer to go out in the morning and return at 1pm before it gets too hot. Don't know how my husband plays golf in it but then he used to working in a restaurant kitchen in much higher temperatures. He's been playing at Kissimmee Golf Club for 29 a round, and some days he played twice for a further 15.
We were going to visit Seaworld but decided against it.
We've been visiting different restaurants than normal. The salads at Friendlys looked good in the adverts but unless you like a plateful of sliced carrots then I'd give it a miss.
Yesterday we tried Cracker Barrell, Chris liked the slow roast beef and I had a sampler plate. Everything was ok but the server cleared the plates and then plonked the bill down. Didn't even ask us if we wanted a sweet. Don't know what went wrong there or if they're always like that.
Tonight for our final meal we're going to Smokey Bones.
It's been a great trip, our villa backs onto a lake and the wild life is definately getting ready for Spring. Even the Buzzards were strutting their stuff. In the pool area the ghekko has been displaying his red sac under his head, sometimes at the reflection in the patio door.
We came home one day to find a huge turtle just by the screen but by the time we found the camera it had scuttled off.
Looking forward to going home and already planning the next trip. Chris wants to do 3 weeks next year [msneek]
