Budget 7 Seater SUV?
Hi all,
booked a Budget 7 Seater SUV for our trip to the US - does anyone have any clue on what the likely car is going to be? I've been told a Ford Explorer "or similar" - but not knowing American SUVs I have no idea what "similar" is - well I guess I can google but if anyone has any experience of what car they got I'd love to know.
Also - do they come with parking aids? It's going to be a big car and I don't really want to be nervous of parking etc just becuase the car is so huge!!
Finally - I have 11 (gasp) yes 11 **expired** points on my license - they are still visible on my counterpart paper - obviously in the UK these are long gone - are my past speeding in my youth going to cause me a problem in the US?

Dunno about the actual car but...
You won't need parking aids as the parking bay sizes go with the cars and are bigger than in the UK. You'll have no probs parking. Just note that most US drivers park front forwards, unlike in the UK, and some car parks requesst that you do this. If you park back uppards to the garage door at your villa, you could end up with smuts all over the garage door!
It won't matter about your points. If you're entitled to drive in the UK then you're entitled to drive in the US and no-one will even mention them. All they're looking for is a valid licence.
Have a great trip!

I had a 7 seat suv with budget last year and got a dodge journey. Bit dissapointed really as it was not as big as I was expecting. unlike the Durango I got the year before which was excellent

I though the Dodge Journey was a Mid Size SUV, I had one a year or so ago and it did not have 7 seats. It was considerably smaller than the Tahoe I had in November which had 7 seats.
Do Dodge do a long wheelbase Journey ?
