Do you need a special driving licence for a 15 sea

I have a full UK driving licence but didn't know if you needed anything else on top of that to hire a 15 seater..?

The requirement is usually that you have to have a valid license for the country you reside in appropriate for the vehicle you are driving, so if your UK one covers you here then you should be ok. One thing I would suggest though is if you have 2 drviers I would consider getting 2 8 seaters. The chances are quite high that at some time during the trip the party may not all want to do the same thing or if some are tired and want to leave early it can really spoil it for others. Even in a group of 7 we have often found that you have to make a lot of compromises to keep everybody happy.

Sorry Keith I dont normaly read all the car hire ones as usually there is someone who has already answered it.

I confirm no special license is required, just a standard license is fine for all the car types we offer.

Roger,does this apply to people who have obtained their license on or after 01 jan 1997? As on the DVLA web site it says that holders after that date are only licensed to drive a minibus up to 16 seats in the UK only.
