passport expiry
Hi
Can anyone help with this queary, we are going over to Florida from the 27th Sept to 13th Oct , but on checking my daughters passport it expires on 20th Nov . I have been told you cant get in unless you have more than 3 months left on your passport , is this correct ?
I tried the internet ,but only see phone numbers that charge 1.50 per min for information [calls can last 5 mins]

Hi, we went early April and our children's passports expired in June; only 2 months left remaining. They will allow entry. I checked with our airline Delta. The only thing we couldn't do was check in on-line.
Hope that helps.

The alternative is to renew her passport now and they will add the unexpired portion on

Seeing as you have plenty of time I would renew the passport now. They will add the remaining 5 months to her new passport so this would save any worrying. Recently renewed my sons and it was back in less than2 weeks.

We flew with United last July we returned on the 29th and my sons passport was due to expire 5 weeks later - no problems whatsoever [msnsmile2]
That said if you're at all worried then renew it now.

In case you decide not to renew before you travel, I can confirm that it won't be a problem. Both my husband and I travelled to the US with only a few days remaining on our passports after our return, and the only comment we got was to remind us that our passports were due to be renewed.
Have a great holiday

As said above you can travel and stay in the USA right up to the day before the passport expires.
However some of the airlines(Virgin was one) and holiday companies still have the old regulation on their publications(where you needed x months un-expired) and some people have reported that they have had difficulty trying to persuade them they have out of date information.
