Best Shopping Places
Hello Everyone
Wehave 108 days till our first visit to Florida, now have our villa booked in Kissemmee and I am so excited, I know there is alot to see and do and I am also aware that I will not fit everything in (what a shame I'll have to go back) so I was wondering were are the best places to shop for food or are they all about the same and where are the best shopping centres for clothes and things. I have 3 children 14, 10 and 8 and I'm not bothered about designer clothes although if it was a real bargain I won't resist, but I would like to get some clothes that are different to the UK, is this possible or are the clothes basically the same, I already know that I won't get many shopping days as the kids will want to be at one park or another.
Sorry I really do have a million questions and have found loads of answers already from this great site and you never know it may be me on here giving people advise one day!

Hi Shelley
you will be spoilt for choice.....food wise, much more then we have here in the UK, walmart (asda) publix, are the only ones we have been to are wonderful, clothes there is a lot of choice.....we didnt buy some stuff cos the styles were different from what my teenage girls wanted then and to what was here....prices are a lot cheaper there also, must admit we found lots of trainers in different designs to what my girls liked then and were a bit disappointed, some not there cuppa, .some similar ones but my daughters were so fussy then....dont mind as much these days.....
hope you have a fab time, and of course you wont be able to do it all in one go any excuse to go back again and again...
hope you remember to come back and let us know what you found [msncool]:D

Where do we begin, the shopping in Florida is excellent.
For food shopping many people go to Walmart, Publix and Target which can all be found on 192.
For bargain clothes shopping you can't Orlando Premium Outlets and Beuna Vista Outlets. If you have daughters there is a fabulous shop at The Loop called "Justice....just for girls". I could have filled a suitcase with clothes from there alone. Osh Kosh B Gosh at all the outlets have great clothes for boys and girls and the prices are next to nothing and the thing I like about OKBG is you get complete outfits including hats and socks all to match.
A little more pricy but still much much cheaper than the UK Florida Mall is also great for at least one days shopping.

Hi Shelley
I asked my kids which shops they would recommend in Orlando, Orlando Premium Outlets was voted the favourite, I also like this one as you walk round outside, whereas some of the Malls are the indoor type. Also Festival Bay (on International Drive) if you have any kids into Skateboarding there is a skateboard park there, and a Surf pool is supposed to be opening there. If you google these places, you will be able to see what kind of shops of there.

Shopping anywhere and everywhere that's how it goes for me[msnwink]
Florida Mall,The Loop, The Mall at Millenia, Prime Factory Outlets,Festival Bay,
The Mercado, West Oak Mall on Highway50, Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores,Orlando Premium Outlets and Church Street Exchange
I could go on but that's more than enough [msnsmile2]

We were at Premium last week and they are turning quite a bit of the rear car park into 23 new shops which are due to open in the Fall 08.
Have to say Premium is one of favourite shopping outlets but we also use Prime (old Beltz, top of international Drive) and Lake Beuna Vista Outlets on the 535.

The choices are amazing over in Florida. You can shop till you drop. I go to most shops and love it as it is so much cheaper than here. My fav trainer shop is on the 192 called Carnival Shoes just by super target and on certain days you buy a pair and get the second half price and buy two pair and get a pair free. Your going to love it.
Just remember to not overfill your cases going over to Florida. Leave plenty of room for your shopping.[msnwink]

If you have girls, they may like Abercrombie or Hollister in the Florida Mall and the Mall at Millenia. Abercrombie have clothes for all ages, but Hollister only do adult, but they would probably fit your 14 year old. You can buy Abercrombie in London, but they just change the currency sign, so if you pay $40 in the US, then the price in the UK is £40!
They also do clothes for boys, but as my boy is 9 he is not really interested in clothes yet. I'm sure his time will come, though!
Have a great holiday

The malls are OK but why not try one of the many stores? Kohls on H27 and other locations are pretty good for clothes and good value. You say this is your first trip to Florida; nothing will prepare you for the difference in cost to the UK.
Have a good trip.
