Hi all.

It won't be a problem with US Immigration as long as it's valid for the length of your stay.
However, some airlines have different rules for carrying passengers and insist on six months left on your passport so best check with your airline to see if this applies. If so, don't panic as you probably have time to get a renewal before you leave for Florida.
Check out renewal info here. http://www.ips.gov.uk/passport/apply-renewing-when.asp
It won't be a problem with the US authorities, your passport only has to be valid for your visit.
Some airlines might insist that you have at least 6 months on it, Virgin won't so it depends who you are flying with.
If you renew your passport you can do it up to 9 months before it runs out and they will add that 9 months to your new one.
Was obviously typing at the same time as Blott.[msnembarrased]
I know First Choice or Continental Airlines dont mind once your passport is still in date on your return.
We are here in Florida at the moment and our passports run out May 19th, we didnt have a problem flying with Delta but we were not allowed to check in online as we had less than 90 days left on them.
United don't insist on six months either.
