Hi all,
I've been trawling through flights for next year when boys will be 14,12 and 10.
Airlines all appear to have a different concept of the meaning of 'teenager'.
Can anyone tell me when a 'teen' is a 'teen'. I thought it was obvious but maybe that's just me!!!!

with virgin atlantic an adult price is charged once a child reaches 12
with some charter airlines you can get a child price up to 16 and sometimes 18yrs, saying that we have chosen First Choice for flights only and we all pay the same fare because we are not booking accomodation
Virgin have had some special offers just recently when teen prices are available to all children under 16. I think the latest date is currently 1st July. My sister in law was a bit frustrated as when she booked their flights for next Aug for my 2 nephews of 15 and 13 the company originally offered teen fares at £399 instead of adult at £699 but then (after the booking had been taken) said they had been stopped so had to pay full whack.
As Mizzy said Charter airlines usually set a price per seat and regardless of age that is what you pay.

i noticed on the disney cruise ship a child is classed age 17yrs and under strange when you consider that a child becomes an adult price in restaurants and for tickets to disney at 9yrs

Great that Mizzy isn't it. Once my 3 year old twins get to 9yrs its out to work with them[msnwink] if they are adults I will get them jobs at Disney on adult wages;);)

yes blott you're right you are a child until you reach 10yrs at disney in the theme parks and restaurants and then at the grand old age of 10 you become and adult[msneek]
