The Macs holiday report Part 5 (the end)
Yes this is the last few days of our holiday report you will be glad to know!!
Day 12 - Long lie today and a day by the pool enjoying the sun and topping up the tan! Tea again at Race Rock - Craig had some tokens left for the game machines so he wanted to use them up and then off to Premium Outlets for another time of spending.
Day 13 - Early start and off to Epcot today. Went on Spaceship Earth first as no queue - this is really clever just a bit steep at times! Round to Test Track then to Living Seas. Small snack at the McDonalds stand then off round the world! We have been before but have always managed to miss some of the countries so this time we planned to visit every country along the way. Enjoyed going into each country especially Germany for a wee beer and lunch in America! We were shattered by the end so headed back to Ponderosa on the 192 for tea then collapsed in villa til bedtime.
Day 14 - Back to MGM today as Craig and Barry fancied seeing Stunt show again so while they did that Lyndsey and I did our favourite thing - shopping! Met them for lunch then off to Indiana Jones stunt show which was very good. Onto The Great Movie Ride for a cool down then headed home for pool. Had tea at Bob Evans on 27 which was very good - open faced roast beef with mashed potato on Texas toast was excellent and would recommend[msnsmile]. Off to Kissimee Old Town for another look at the cars.
Day 15 - Another long lie and a morning in the pool then off to Downtown Disney for a sandwich from Earl of Sandwich shop - very tasty! Back to villa for pool again then pizza for tea plus a few beers[beer]
Day 16 - (nearly finished!) - Back to Seaworld to see stuff that we hadn't done on our previous visit - manatees, dolphins and a shot on the flamingo peddle boats (hard work for the legs!!). Lunch in the Spice Mill Inn - i had delicious fish fried in Budweiser beer batter mmmmm! After more legwork round park back to Dennys for tea.
Day 17 - Our last full day in Florida don't know where the time goes!! Minigolf at Pirates Cove then lunch at Tacobell (lovely!! wish they would open here!) Premium Outlets for a final shop where we got caught in a very heavy rainstorm with thunder and lightening right above us - really scary[msnscared] Back to villa to pack suitcases adn try and fit in all our shopping purchases! Back to Bob Evans for tea then villa for final evening[msncry]
Day 18 - Off to Downtown Disney to checkin our cases - well worth the $20 - then back to villa for last shot of the pool. We had booked the villa for an extra night so that we could stay there for our last day until we had to leave for airport. Showered and changed for flight home, we had our last meal at Dennys then set off to airport to drop off car. No queues at dropoff or security so straight through to gate ready for take - off. Plane left dead on time and only took 7 and a half hours to fly home. Craig and Lyndsey were happy as we had the onboard games consoles on this Virgin flight which we have only had before on the one flight we went from Manchester a few years ago. Landed Gatwick ok and then had to wait three hours for our BA flight up to Edinburgh ( i hate the hanging about just want to get home now!). Landed Edinburgh and picked up by father-in-law ok and home by 3pm ready for hot shower and good cup of tea!!
