Pool heat required?
We are going to a villa in Indian Ridge for four weeks in September ( soooo excited, can't wait!!!) and I'm just wondering if we will need pool heat or not. We've been in October a few times and had to ask to get the pool heat switched as it was a bit too chilly for an early morning dip for me! Adds a fair bit to the cost of our holiday so I don't want to pay for it if we don't need it but on the other hand I don't like having to brace myself for the shock when you enter a cold pool!

Hi
Why don't you ask the villa owner if you can decide when you arrive at the villa
Check the weather and water out first
I had the same question just last week, we have guests going out in May next year and i have suggested they get in touch with our management company once they arrive
The only downside i could think of would be the water may take a while to reach a suitable temperature but they said this would be acceptable

Early September should be fine without pool heat, but as Dawn says contact your owner to see if you can decide when you are there - bear in mind there could be a cost for the Management Company to come out to switch it on, and it does take a couple of days to heat up.
-
We let our guests have the option of calling us and deciding when they get there as we can then switch it on remotely from over here. But saying that we found that we did not need it in September.

If pool heat is not requested and they change their minds when they arrive, they ring our management company and they deduct the price of the pool heat from their security deposit. As Dawn has said, the only downside is that the water takes a while to heat.

We are going next July and I have paid for pool heat.
The last villa we stayed in ( 2 years ago May) had solar panel heating, the pool was lovely and warm all of the time, we swam in it at 7 in the morning all through til even 12.30at night/morning (not all at in one go of course[msnsmile2])
It was lovely and warm, it is personal choice, but I need the pool warm to enjoy it, as it is part of the reason we have a private villa with pool for our holiday, I need to know we are going to use it, we have been before April and June and still had pool heat.
As I said before personal choice.

I goes down to your own preferance, We always have it on what ever time of year we go.
-
We always have pool heat even in August[msnwink]
-
It is your personal choice but we recommend pool heating from October until the end of May.

We like to have pool heat and spa heat on any ime of year some of our guest agree and book heat ay time of year. If you have a spa I'd say go for pool heat.[msnsmile2]
