Patkin..My trip report.
Well, I'll start at beginning....
Stayed overnight before flying out to Orlando at Britannia Airport hotel Manchester. it was ok, price good, room clean, car in one piece when we got back....
Flight out, delayed by 2 hours, Air Atlanta, no big deal...
Got to Sanford, they ran out of economy cars..Ended with a Monster..no extra charge for up grade, but what a size car it was..to big for just the two of us..By the way, petrol is about $3 a gallon and I think the American economy is suffering right now.
Arrived at Days Inn International Drive, Well, not the best hotel we've stayed in, But again, room clean, oh and very good social life on a night time with a lovely bunch of people in the cafe area, with our own booze, Yes, us brits love a social get together and a bit moan about the hotel..
I’m not that keen on International Drive, the shops are a little tacky and quality of goods not so good, same can be said about Old Town too
Last year we had a Villa, a room at hotel will never be the same or as good as renting a Villa…
Now, we did the Disney things as we always do….. best ride at theme parks ..awarded to Soarin’ we thought this ride was brilliant.
Did the Universal parks but mainly just walked round popped onto Shrek, and the Mummy thing…
For something different this year we decided to see a couple of groups, 1st one was Alice Cooper at Hard Rock, very good night.
At Epcot we were lucky enough to catch a group called Kanas and also the Commodores, I must admit they were very good.
Shopping, Florida Mall, Premier Outlet and a look round Festival Bay and Beltz.
Point Orlando seems to be almost closing down.
Weather, really good, hot, some rain but mostly sunshine…
Feeling a little Jet lagged right now, all in all we love visiting Florida and we weren’t disappointed, just after Xmas we’ll be thinking about our next trip there….:):):)

There is nothing better to cheer you up when you return from Florida than planning your next trip . Glad to hear you had a great holiday and once again you have proved that you cannot beat a villa.

Good to read your report. We went to Pointe Orlando whilst we were there (during October) and yes loads of shops had closed and the place was pretty much deserted. We checked out a few shops after having a nice lunch at Johnny Rockets.
If ever you go to Johnny Rockets be sure to play around with the jukebox type thing on your table. If it doesn't work ask the waiter/waitress and they should give you a special coin. Then selext Beegee - Staying Alive and watch the workers dance away to it!
We had a bloke dancing with an afro wig on and a girl each side. I think they only do it like once a day but it made us laugh so much as no one got any food whilst they were doing this. Little Bradley who is 2 in January was scared and was crying his eyes out.
I hope to get back to Pointe Orlando maybe next year to see any improvements. I remember when we first went to Orlando back in 2002 and we came across it so easily but last year and this year it seems to be a right old challenge to find the place.
Also anyone that hasn't been to Johnny Rockets before please do the food is nice and the shakes are to die for!
