Age limit on Drinking
I'm sure its a pretty easy question to answer but what is the legal age limit to be drinking in a restaurant in florida?
Last year when we went I was 21 and we visited TGI Fridays about 3 times and the first two times it was fine but the second time the bloke wouldnt serve me with alcohol. Despite my parents being with me and vouching for me as well.
I'm just curious as I'll take my passport out with me this time if need be. I was really actually quite annoyed about not being served and I don't blame the bloke as he was doing his job but I felt I was old enough.
23 days to go!!! [msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

21 is the legal age, and you MUST have photographic ID with you that shows your actual date of birth. They will ask for ID and if you can't show it, then the Queen could vouch for you and you still wouldn't get an alcoholic drink!![msnsmile2][msnsmile2]
They generally "card" anyone who looks 30 or less. If you have a plastic UK driving license that will be good enough. That's what my 24 year old son uses.
If you can't prove beyond any doubt that you are old enough, then by law they must not serve you.

Yes Russ it is 21. They will want to see ID even if you look 30! I'm afraid mum and dad's say won't do it.[msnsmile2]

The US have very strict drinking laws and anyone found in breach of these faces large fines or licences evoked.
Most place will ask for id for anybody under 30. I have known people in there 30's being refused as they didnt have id with them.

Russ if it make syou feel any better I'm 41 and look it! But I still get asked for ID although only when I'm not with my hubby[msneek]

They don't usually cut corners when it comes to the drinking age!!
We have to show our ID too and we are 36 & 37

Some place have made it compulsory for all guests so they can't be accused of discrimination, and it's also often one drink per ID so you cant get one person buying drinks for four people on 1 id.

I had to show my ID last August in Publix when buying beers[msnwink]
I was very flattered as I have a 21 y/o son[msneek]
