The prices on aer lingus to Orlando look good value.
Has anyone tried this service?
I would need a one night stay accomodation in Dublin, something like a travel lodge near the airport.
Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay?

Hi Tina,
Heres a few options to consider
The Holiday Inn is a nice airport hotel (bit expensive) but less than 5 minutes walk to the terminal or you can use the free shuttle bus. Their is also access to an leisure centre (10 minutes away) http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hd/dblap
The Great Southern is across the road from the Holiday Inn ( http://www.greatsouthernhotels.com/airportDublin/? )
There is a Travel Lodge about 5 minutes drive from the airport that has rooms from EUR35.00 a night, there's a Little Chef attached. Its handy for the airport but there is nothing else within walking distance.( http://www.travelodge.ie/travelodge/...p?site_no=1002 )
Crowne Plaza have a lovely hotel about 10 minutes from the terminal building. They operate a courtesy coach. It's in a lovely setting. ( http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/cp/1/en/ic/dblnp )
If you really want to treat yourself I can recommend Roganstown Country Club. A lovely hotel in the countryside but very handy for the airport. ( http://www.roganstown.com )
Depending on your flight times you could always stay in the City Centre and spend and have a look around. There is a regular airport bus from O'Connell Street ( http://www.aircoach.ie ).
Have a look at http://www.visitdublin.com for city centre accomodation.
Any questions let me know, have a great trip:)
Thanks Olive for all that info, really helpful.
Looking at flying out in December.
I just need to sort a flight from Plymouth to Dublin, the schedule will be released at the end of May with airwales.
Safe the long car journey and parking fees at Gatwick.
No problem, Tina.
Just bear in mind that Air Wales limit checked baggage to 15kg. Depends how much shopping you plan on doing in Orlando!!
We did this route in April and will be doing it again this week to come home! :( For info check here http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_18772.asp
We have booked for September and booked the holiday inn for our over night, these is a free courtesy bus to and from airport.
We've gone for the Holiday Inn as well, can't beleive how expensive hotels in Dublin are!.
