Does anyone know when i might be able to get a quote for car hire of the link on this site for Feb 2006? i know its a way off but i am keen to get everything organised, just booked my flights through Charter Travel so thats done , now for tickets and car hire.
You can do this now. Any car hire booked now for 2006 will be held at current prices.
Any advise on collection and drop off times? We land at Orlando Int at 2.50pm and depart at 6.30pm.
If you're on a direct flight from the UK, you'll go through Immigration, bag collection, Customs and bag collection again which will probably take around an hour or so, depending on how many planes arrive at similar times.
If you're on an indirect flight, you'll have already done the above in the US transit airport and can just collect your baggage.
Coming back, the minimum check in time for an international flight is 2 hours so you need to allow some time on top of that for returning your car, getting it checked over, getting yourself and your baggage to the check in desk. I'd say another 30 mins to an hour for that.
I find Orlando International a really nice airport so, even if you're there early, there's plenty to see and do. It'll be sometime before you get any food or drink on the plane so you might like to get a snack there anyway.
