Anthing New
Has anyone got any suggestions for my christmas holiday on new places to visit?
I have been many times to Orlando but my boyfriend is going for the first time and would like to do some different stuff as well as all the normal parks and restaurants.
I have never been to a Zoo in orlando, is there one?
I also read about train rides and diner, does anyone have any info on this?
Any ideas are welcome x

Yes, there's a zoo at Sanford which is quite interesting - info here http://www.centralfloridazoo.org/
For info about trains try here http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...TOPIC_ID=14757 but if you do a search on the forum for Mount Dora you'll find more info.
I've DM'd you a link for more unusual things to do.

Have you ever considered Las Vegas for Christmas? The strip is great during the holidays. Tends to be a little chilly, but it's Vegas!
The snow level gets down to about 3000'. That means all the mountains that surround Vegas are covered in snow. It's the prettiest sight.
Or, if you are in Florida, take a drive up to Savannah. It's a city that dates back to before ante-bellum times. The old cotton wearhouses are now resturants and stores.
Then theres always New Orleans. It's a good day's drive, but downtown is really decked out for the holidays.
Have a great trip, and happy holidays.

Savannah is about 4 hours north. So I'd recommend at least a two day trip. It's a great day out! The old city is full of 'squares'. All grassy areas with lovely statues and the best old 1800s buildings. Down by the Savannah River there are resturants and bars and tourist shops.
When I lived in Jacksonville I'd drive up there for romantic nights with my wife. Of course, that was before we had kids!
I'm sure there are many web sites about Savannah or Oglethorpe County.
Have fun
