Kids Drinks
Does anyone know if its ok to take bottled squash over to USA? Im thinking of Vimto, orange squash etc. I know it seems like a lot of trouble but our kids dont like pure juice, & end up having to have fizzy drinks at breakfast [V] as we can never find something comparable that they like.

Hi Dawn
You can buy Robinsons Apple and Blackcurrant squash and Orange squash at most of the supermarkets. We always buy it as our children do not like juice etc either.

In theory, you're not allowed to take anything containing fruit but whether squash would come into this, I'm afraid I don't know.
As Claire says, you can get various types of squash in all supermarkets (probably not Vimto though).

I've taken squash with me a few times and last time took 3 bottles of pink grapefruit barley for an ex pat with no problem. I took them in my hand luggage in case of damage.
The supermarkets do sell Robinsons in the English section at vastly inflated price.

According to the aisle sign in Publix we are an Ethnic Minority in the USA :D

I know we speak the same(?) language, but what else would the British be described as in Florida supermarkets other than an ethnic minority? If we had an aisle in Tesco for American specific food, it'd probably be described the same way!

I always take bottles of Robinson's squash with me and have had no trouble it is cheaper here than out there.
