Does anyone know the exact location of the Terre Verde community? I've been told its behind Lake Berkley and is it within walking distance of the 192

Hi Eclipsed, welcome to the forums. Terra Verde is a new community currently under construction and is located on Poinciana Boulevard, not walking distance to 192 ,but then given the heat and the lack of sidewalks not many communities are really within walkable distance.
Lesley
Hi Lynne,
The entrance to Terra Verde is closer to Indian Point and Eagle Point on Poinciana Blvd. and although the development does back onto Lake Berkley landwise, the entrances are probably 5 mins. drive from each other. Both are Park Square Homes developments(Terra Verde being a couple of years newer), Both are designed on the "resort" style with clubhouse, pool & spa facilities and have security gated entrances. Both have pool villas and mediterranean style townhouses. Of the two , Lake Berkley is within "walking" distance of the US192 shops and a big 24 hr. Walmart but as Lesley says, there is a distinct lack of footpaths in Florida and often the shops and malls just have rough ground between them which is not condusive to walking. Lake Berkley also has a large spring fed natural lake (hence the name) with walking and bike trails and fishing jetties. Clubhouses on both sites have well equipped fitness studios/ pool tables and lounge areas and internet connection.

thanks for the advise ,a few years ago we stayed on Country Creek ,really like the location, and were able to walk down to Wal-Mart,but there doesn't seem to be any villas larger than 4 beds in the vicinity. I'm afraid to admit I don't like driving on the 192,this time we have a 12 seater minivan ,which will be a challange.[msnsmile]

Hi Eclipsed
I share your feeling about the 192, I love driving in Florida but that road, especially its uturns scares me [msnembarrased] have you considered staying elsewhere in a sub division that doesnt require use of the 192 to get access to the Parks ? The CR54 area comes to mind as the most obvious one, I4 access to all parks and the 192 close at hand if you do decide to visit for an evening without it being obligatory whenever you get the car out. Most sub divisions on CR54 would ake around 10/15 minutes to reach Disney and around 20/25 for Seaworld and Universal.
Lesley
You don't need the 192 to get access to the parks from Terra Verde (or anywhere else on Poinciana Boulevard) actually! ;)
Hi Linda love the pictures (in fact I think that I took them) are you a Terra Verde Owner?
Sue Evans
Hi Sue
No my partner Drew took the photos whilst we were out in April 2004 looking to buy. We didn't buy on Terre Verde as they only had the townhouses left and lovely as they were, we had our heart set on a villa.
Must have stood in the same place as me when I took similar ones that is why I thought that some of them were from a TV website I posted them on. Obviously they are not as you are not TV owner. Still great of you to promote community even though you are not. Thanks
Sue
Hi Sue
If memory serves me right, Drew just stood in the doorways of the various rooms which is the place most people would take photos from, so it's not suprising that they look similar. Whilst we were out in April, looking for our own place, we visited various sites and took lots of photos of models and site facilities. As we know what it's like searching for that dream, we are more than happy to post any of our photos if people ask, after all that is what this forum is all about - sharing.
Thanks for promoting Resort by putting in pictures. We have bought on Terra Verde and think that the clubhouse and facilities are just great, especially the Cyber Cafe that is essential for us villa owners to check up on emails. Saves having to bring a lap top. Have you bought anything or did nothing take your eye in the end. Hope you didn't miss the boat on prices.
Sue
Yes we bought a 5 bed/4bath villa on Sunset Ridge just south of I4 on US27 which, hopefully, will be completed April 2005. We've also put a reservation fee down on a lot on Tower Lakes last April but have still not had a price or date yet!
