Ideas?

I have a guest who wants to have a week in my home not doing the theme parks, then to do a week touring Florida.
Any suggestions of what to do or where to visit?
She likes animals behind barriers (ie not alligators in the lake etc), doesnt like snakes or insects. Likes shopping and visiting places but is not into sitting on a beach.

We really enjoyed Silver Springs just outside Ocala - quite a long drive from Orlando but really beautiful and very relaxing [msnsmile2]

St Augustine? Sanford Zoo? As John has said, State Parks? Key West?

Winter Park, boat ride and Morse Museum. Mount Dora steam train, Historic Kissimmee, Celebration, Downtown Orlando are all great places to go from your villa.
I would recommend that they buy Florida from the Loney Planet series.
Its £12.99/$19.99 and for someone who wants to tour Florida, I think its a great book.

We drove to Altemont Springsfor shopping, was nice for a change, found a great shop place called DSL, just a bit different:)
