basically the available width of screen is shown by the 1234 characters

any greater than say 70 characters and you force the screen to go widescreen!

you can get 20 characters of (text size) in between the pictures

setting the text in between the pictures to size 6 moves the picture 25 characters to the right

Depends on your screen resolution - I'mm looking in 1280 x 1024 resolution and it barely fills half the width of the screen [msnwink]
Doesn't matter what actual physical size your screen is. What matters is the size your screen thinks it is and you've fooled it by setting it with your program. That's so that you can have the text small if you don't need a magnifying glass or BIG if you can't see very well!

If you want to check out another size, use the Reply to Topic link and change the screen size at the top of the text box. ;)

I dunno what we're going to do with you, with your doing experiments in the cellar?! I'm just hoping you don't blow us all up one of these days when a test tube explodes - just hope John & Roger's insurance is up to date! ;):D

what does code mean in your explanations?

i want an icecream

ALPHA BETA charlie</ol id="1">

phew that was difficult trying to sort that out, is there some way of programming the computer buttons to insert that text?

there used to be on my bbc one in the '80s :)
alpha beta charlie delta
alpha beta charlie delta</ol id="a">

the way i change the text colors ,and also the size of the text, is to highlight them and click on the options screen and the system does it for me

its a shame the same cant apply for the above, i'm sure more people would be able to use it then for clarity purposes!

i'll definately use it for the quiz! :)

just seen the list icon which makes it a bit easier :)

if you want to put text that is centered above a picture you have to put the text in first and then the picture afterwards

<s>dont bother reading this 'cause its wrong :)</s>

i'm not as bold as yon letters :)

<h1>this is a heading </h1>size 1

now thats a bit confusing 'cause h 1 is the biggest size and yet in ordinary text no.1 is the smallest! :)

i've just noticed on the quick reply section you dont get the option of changing text colors, or sizes or fonts===etc

<div align="left">left</div id="left"> <div align="center">center</div id="center"> <div align="right">right</div id="right">

why has page 1 suddenly gone widescreen?

first you have to go to web page, gave this morning and when loaded right click over picture "save picture as" onto your computer

then get it into your files on the forum by

"insert file attachment" on the reply to topics page
"browse" for picture and "upload"

then you need to go into "profile" at top of page then "my files"

then right click the image that has been created in "my files"
then copy and paste the address that is created into the "avatar url" on your profile but delete what is already in there first :)

then you can "preview avatar" then "submit" button and that should be it :)

you say your not windows xp so do you have a picture section on your computer if not we can save to desktop instead

it should be something like

right click over picture on website and save to desktop

go to "insert file attachment" on reply section of topic

"browse" for the picture from the desktop and "upload" the picture to your forum site

then can you right click over the picture and give me the address please

this is the address that ended up in mine for the one you wanted
later so hopefully should be something similar :)
