If you decided to go out for a meal to celebrate for something, what sort of restaurant would you choose? [msntongue]?

I voted for Italian. Not so sure what Traditional British is. To be honest when I was in London 14 years ago I did not like the food and was greatfull that there was a McDonalds near by the hotel I was staying in.

I thought about including Seafood as one of the options, but the problem is categorising it. You can get Seafood with most above food types eg Chinese Prawns, Fish Curry, Filet Burgers and of course, the traditional British Fish'n'Chips.

Depends because if i was in the uk it would be a curry, but Orlando it would be other as the indians are not that good and I love going to KOBE for a Japannesse (think I spelt that correct)[msnembarrased]

Beautiful food. Fresh and Tasty! And the atmosphere is superb!

Although the company helps!! Family, Close friends!!

If the combination is right, the right food is a big bonus!!

What about traditional American? I would usually go for a steakhouse or buffet. Italian would be a third choice.

Went with the Italian, but i suppose it would depend what i was celebrating.

Sometimes its hard to beat a chinese, or a pizza.

Or a kebab to celebrate the tenth pint.

Would definetly be Mexican. I actually went to Taco Bell on my 2nd visit and thought it was the best place to eat! I tried a chinese one time and wasn't too good at all. Definetly Mexican! [msnsmile]

Mongolian 'type' bar-be-ques, where they cook the food you have selected, infront of you, at the table. Not only great entertainment, but 'what you want' cooked 'how you want'.

Failing that, why do American pizzas ALWAYS taste so much better than UK ones ?

I voted for other as I would prefer to go to a s[bad language filtered out]y restaurant with an extensive menu which contained many different "types" of food, if it was a really special occasion.

For a more intimate, one to one meal, my husband and I like cosy bistros, or an Indian.

voted Indian, but I would be celebrating on my own. More likely to go to a steak house, one type of food our cousins trully excel at.[drinkbeer]
