I'm a huge fan of Cadburys and have even converted my US friend and her children so...

<div align=&#39;center&#39;><span style=&#39;color:blue&#39;>[?]What is your favourite Chocolate bar[?] </div id=&#39;center&#39;><div align=&#39;center&#39;>and I&#39;m not talking about all those fondant fancies and nutty bonbons! I&#39;m talking about a &#39;proper&#39; slab of chocolate, whether it be milk, plain or white.</div id=&#39;center&#39;></span id=&#39;blue&#39;>

I&#39;ve added all I can remember but if I&#39;ve left any out, let me know.

My favourite brand is Anthon Berg ([msntongue]) but since that was not listed, I have voted for Lindt, which I like as well. But irrespective of the brand, I hate milk chocolate. Make it DARK for me!

I voted for Cadbury's but not for the milk variety although I do like the whole nut bar but my fav has to be bournville [msntongue] I dont know if its true but I did read somewhere once that plain chocolate is actually good for a diet not sure if they meant a large bar in one sitting though [msnscared]

So far, Cadbury's (British made) seems to be in the lead but we've only had 49 votes so far. You can't tell me that the other 2964 Forum members don't like polls...... or horror of horrors... don't like chocolate![msnoo] I don't believe it ( a la Victor Meldrew )

I keep trying all the different chocolates on each visit (for research purposes only, of course;)) and still haven't found any I like as much as Cadburys. Haven't tried Ghiradelli so that will be in the shopping cart on our next trip (again, only for scientific purposes!). [msnsmile2]

"..... Cadburys is way out in the lead, with Galaxy coming up on the inside.... This really is a two horse race with the rest of the riders a good few lengths behind....."

Just give me a deerstalker and a microphone (a la John McCririck) and I'm well away!!

2978 more votes to go. Come on, you know you love chocolate! ..and what about our American contingent? There's only been 9 votes for the American brands so far. You can't tell me that the American nation are not fans of chocolate, that's just not normal! ...or perhaps we've converted everyone to the to the European brands??!! [msnsmile2]

Well, because i'm British, it has to be Cadbury's. But after tasting Hershey Cookies and Cream, omg, it's to Die for! lol!
And I also like Lindt! Has anyone tried the White Chocolate one?!

Angua
05-08-2004, 21:48
Aaaaahhhh, white chocolate Lindt. What about their Lindor truffle thingies? All those flavours - dark chocolate with raspberry centre, white chocolate, mint, ameretto.... I could go on and on. How the truffle centre stays cool as the chocolate coating melts in your mouth........

I think I need to go and lie down.[:p]

P.S. Has anyone tried the new Stracciatella variety?

How much longer will we get 'proper Cadburys' for? Have noticed an increase in Milka 'Chocolate' our way which is made with milk powder and not the good old glass and half of proper milk and is not so nice.

Pretty soon we will have Kraft Fruit and Nut etc ....hope they don't change the taste of Cadburys even if they change the name...

They can call it anything they like, but the chocoholics of the UK may start lynching people if they change the recipe.

I don't think there is anything to beat Cadbury's over here in the UK but mist admit we have become adicted to Ghirardelli when in the US. We always find some sort of excuse to make a trip to the Ghirardelli shop at Disney at least 3 or 4 times a day - sorry, I mean week!!!

When we were in San Francisco the boys were in choc heaven as in Ghiradelli Square they were giving out the free samples and they went from the cafe to the shop and back again more than once and then finished off with an ice cream sundae.
