Since a visit to Orlando tends to be in warm to hot weather for most of us, it follows that we take in a lot of fluids. Irrespective of whether your choice is the most appropriate or not, what do you drink most of while on an Orlando holiday?

Coffee, iced variety usually! :) Make great iced coffee in the blender by putting ice cubes in, some milk, coffee (if you're using granules or powder, you'll also need some water), blob of ice cream and whizz up!

I like Beer myself, but there is a cocktail called Mai Tai which was very good when we tried it in the Far East (eg Phuket etc). But the same cocktail tastes different :( in the European and American resorts.

We drink Mountain Dew too! Also coke, we would say tea and coffee but once weve run out of the nescafe and tetley that we brought along with us Im afraid we drink far more fizzy drinks and water too I think we may have to take a couple of jars and packets with us instead of just the one

We are converts to ice tea (sweet) can't stand the hot stuff but love the iced variety especially Arizon ice tea Lemon or peach flavour. I am a coffee addict at home but drink very little in Florida usually a mug of filtered in the morning and the odd one from Starbucks or Bernie's. Otherwise ice tea or water during to day and a Bacardi and coke by the pool in the evening.

If I'm not needing to drive, I like to make myself a pina colada using a mix, ice from the ice-machine and the blender - great for lazing round the pool [8D]. That's also the beauty of American fridges - ice-machines!

Totally agree with Stabbard!!

JD and Ice is a firm favourite!!

Or Ice and JD!! At least I have a form of water in every drink this way!! [msnwink]

Def water during the day - but beer as it gets later. What is strange is that I love red wine when in UK - but hardly touch it over there.

Gatorade !!! sorry Kirstielou & hubby - we can't stand it.

We once bought a giant size bottle to keep the 3 kids in the party happy whilst we travelled around for a week. They thought it was a punishment!
What was funny though was that Allan took more care of it when unpacking and packing the 7 seater at each stopover, than any of the other luggage. It was more or less still full by the time we got to Kissimmee for our second week, but we lost a bottle of JD on a car park!!!!

Salty water tasted nicer according to the kids - and as for root beer.....

Give me water during the day and beer at night please.

I seem to be the only one in my family who likes Mountain Dew. Very good in the parks in hot weather. I'll be drinking it by the cartload when I go to the Applauchian Mountains next year.

White Zinfandel is also particularly refrreshing, and much lower in alcohol than ordinary wine- about 8% I think, as opposed to 12.5% ish normally. So you can drink more of it.[beer]

I voted for fizzy pop as its what we drink most of all. In the parks its always water, but the fridge is always full of orange juice and I love the 7up out there, its not so sweet, more refreshing and we really liked pepsi blue as well, not sure if you can still get it?

John, Where did you get that Strawberry Marguerita, I WANT ONE

Water but closely followed by beer!! Its so cheap over there (the beer) it would be rude not to drink it!!! And it goes down so well after a long day shopping!! Anyone else agree?

For some unexplained very worrying reason we hardly drink when we are in Florida! Well apart from the bottle of Bombay Saphire from the duty free at Gatwick, and bottles of Bud cos you have to!
