Dave and Brad, two popular politicians, met at a club to discuss the overthrow of their party leader. They each ordered a vodka on the rocks. Brad downed his and ordered another. He then drank his second in a gulp and decided to wait before he ordered a third. Meanwhile, Dave, who was sipping his drink, suddenly fell forward dead. Both men were setup for an assassination. Why did Dave die and Brad live?

Mind you, Blott does not say that Dave was poisoned. For instance, he might have been shot with a silence gun while quietly sipping his drink. The assassin had to choose one first and he'she chose Dave. The Vodka (or the 'rocks' for that matter) might or might not have anything to do with it. :D
I think you can take it, from the options available, that he wasn't shot Nostromo! :D

Are we allowed other guesses too? Like 'none of the above because the story is obviously a work of fiction as there's no such thing as a popular politician'?
No, you aren't allowed other guesses!
Oh, all right... the answer is that the 'rocks' were poisoned. Brad drank his drinks so quickly that they didn't have time to melt and release the poison but poor Dave sipped his, thus giving them time to melt.
Well done whoever got it right and sorry to those that didn't.

He's a scumbag politician and deserves all he get's.....
Not that I don't trust, like or have any respect for politicians, but when you work in local gov.... you get the idea !!!
