Hi can any one tell me if i need to be in America to apply for a work visa. or can i apply when my husband get the the business visa.

I have been told it takes three to six months

If you're talking about an E2 business visa, then you'll get an E2 dependant's visa. Once this is approved and you're in Florida as an E2 dependant, you can then apply for dispensation to work.
