At Universal and Islands of Adventure (IOA more so), if the ride breakdowns while you are in the queue - you are entitled to a priviledged return pass and can go back and go to the front of the queue once the ride is working again.
Think my family felt they wanted a bit more than that when they got stuck in the tube of the Hulk Coaster, then had to get out and climb down the stairs!!! But they did go back and do it again. Needless to say, I was watching from terra firma!
Sandra
They will sometimes refuse to give a pass if you got into line after they announced the breakdown.

You really will have to have a stiff drink and then try a "big" ride - just so you can say you've done it <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
They're not nearly as bad as you think they are <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

OK Sandra - that's good for a start - now your training shall begin....Next time out, your targets are
1..Rock n Roller coaster

Please report back if you have achieved these targets already OR when you have achieved them
Then Tinkerbell and I will set the next stage of your initiation ... our aim in life is now to see you complete the "Theme park big rides course"

Very cruel - and I thought you were such a nice person Caroline. I'm off to work now although I won't be able to concentrate!!!!
Sandra
I know how you feel, as it took me 40 years to go up-side down and inside out<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> I've now done all the rides at IOA and a couple at Busch Gardens. My 11 year old told me Kraken at Seaworld is a must do, but that's for next time.
I must admit that I'm a big waterride fan, they are must do's for me.

Sandra - I'm sure you've heard the expression "You've got to be cruel to be kind!" - Trust me <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle> - It's for your own good <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I think that an upside downer has to be the first step! Space Mountain etc, make me feel more dizzy then when you actually go through the big turns!!!
You went on Journey to Atlantis recently, so thats a good starter! very impressed! We'll get those travel sickness patches, get you on the Rock'n'roller coaster and report back to base!!!!
