Hi, we are visiting Orlando in October with a 16 month old. He drinks full fat milk at home, is the full fat milk the same in Florida? If not can anyone recommend an alternative please.

They have similar types of milk in Florida, ie full fat, semi skimmed and skimmed although they may be called full cream, 4%, 2%, etc but the labels have descriptions so you should have no problems.

I agree with Blott, we have travelled with our Son when he was 12 months old and never had a problem with finding milk.

We never had any trouble, in walmart, you can get a really small carton, which we found best to sample the differnt makes before getting the large carton.

Thanks to all for info. Can't wait to see his face when he sees Micky etc for first time!

One thing though is that most milk sold over the counter in the USA is fortified with Vitamin D. The doctors in the UK doubt the real long-term value of this, but it should not cause any problem at all. :)

Thanks Nostromo, just a bit worried as a concerned grandma, that he might not like the taste of different milk[msnsmile2]

Judy
We have just got back [msncry][msncry]. My youngest still has milk and we used the whole milk and she did not seem to notice any difference and did not suffer with an upset tummy.
It's just so cold now we are home[msnsad].

Hi Judy, We took our youngest son for the first time when he was only 12 months old and did just what Amy said.
He was fine with the full fat milk and drank it by the tank full!!!![msnsmile2][msnsmile2]
