Do they exist - I thought they were UK model only?

They were exported to Spain, Holland.... all over Europe. Also there was a Canadian Mk III. But they didn't sell well and they tend to be very rare.

Dave.... I have a collection of over 50 scale Cortinas....
I'm familiar with the Cortina web site.... That's where I sold my old Mk II.

A Cortina wouldn't be a Cortina without furry dice!

Whats your favourite colour; I liked that browny metalic the 1600E had.

When I was a kid our neighbour had a Cortina (not sure which Mk but would have been about 1970) that could only be described as a slightly darker green than the incredible hulk - with a vinyl roof !

Yes it was. The Taunus was made in Germany. Very similar, but with some subtle differences.
Some markets had both the Cortina and the Taunus in the same showroom. Holland for example. The dealers had to sell both cars. Both LHD.

The last Mk V Cortina had a V6. Also the Taunus came with a V4 and a V6. German Capris also had V4s and larger V6s.

In Oz the Cortina had a choice of a 3.3 straight 6 or a 4.2 straight six! Wish I could get my hands on one of those!
