If you had just one full, uninterrupted day in Orlando, where would you chhose to go?

Sad I know, but I would have to spend some time at our lovely 3 bed villa. It's our dream home and sends shivers down my spine every time I walk into it. Such a special place for us [msnsmile2].

I'd probably also follow it by a nice relaxing dinner at one of our favourites - The Olive Garden.

The Florida Mall, Millenia Mall, Wal*Mart.

I voted somewhere else and it would also have to be my villa. Given just one day I wouldnt be able to bear being so close and not going to it, sorry,I do love the theme parks but nothing beats my home when push comes to shove.

I'm amazed at how many people voted for SeaWorld, I really didn't like it:( But that's the great thing about Florida, there's so much to do and see it doesn't matter if you don't like one particular thing.

Other - pool, shopping, Cirque du Soleil and dinner at the Grand Floridian to watch the MK fireworks!!! Or it might have to be the Swan and Dolphin and Epcots depending on timing.
If I had to pick a park, I guess it would be Seaworld. I live here and of all the parks Seaworld is the one you can keep going back to without getting fed up with it or jaded. I suppose because it is "living".

True. I love Sea World and it came out on top of our 'Family Poll'. But there are some people who (quite rightly) feel upset about the acquatic creatures being 'handled' by the human trainers. Looked that way, parks like SW and AK can be off-putting, although the latter tries hard to create a 'natural' environment for the animals.

Can you go into Epcot to eat without a pass. Just worked it out I was last in Epcot in 1986, just shows how much there is to do arround Orlando, though being on the forum is like being there.

I would choose Seaworld. Just love it there - and never as crowded as the other parks.

Universal Studios - memories of first visit - listened to the Blues Brothers three times that day - looked like some mad woman singing and dancing in the street. ( Allen says what's new there then!)

Then a close second Sea World - this was the first park we ever visited - and being up so early with the change in body clock we were there at the front right next to the rope at 'rope drop' - I phoned my mum and cried with excitement as I could see the baby dolphins!

I would spend the day at the beach, the evening in Epcot having fish and chips at the
Rose and crown, then a lovely swim before going to bed

I have to agree with floridadreamvilla.co.uk, that it would have to be spent lazing round the pool, sat in the spa with a (large) cocktail.

VERY good point KirstieLou.[msnwink] We went the first time this year for 2 weeks. We've already booked for 18 days next year, and I can see that growing year on year[msnsmile2]

If I only had one day in Orlando plus a wish for anything it would have to be a LIVE concert at T. D. Waterhouse Centre with ELVIS as the performer [msncry][msncry]:D

It was only a theoretical question. But I suppose it is possible that Joseph Henry Bloggs was driving from Miami to Tallahasee and decided to stop in Orlando for a day?

It has to be the day trip to Silver Springs, pick up the boat, Scream across the great big lake, down the canal and that huge lock, then be amazed where the canal meets the Silver Springs River.

Scenery, excitement, manatees, monkeys, (Where they filmed the original tarzan movies and the monkeys escaped) clear water to see all the fish turtles etc.

Lunch and a swim with the manatees(If you are lucky enough to get near) see the actual Silver Spring and do the return journey. It was the most amazing day to unwind and really get a good start to the holiday. Got an amazing suntan as well. It was for the whole day and the children even enjoyed every minute.:D

It used to be run by a gent called Ted, but I have lost the paperwork, It's not part of any glass bottom boat trips) So if anybody out there has any info they can give..... The boats held six people and we were supplied with a skipper for the day.[?]

It was originally booked through Virgin but they no longer have the details. Sorry to have gone on a bit...but it was really good, and we would like to do it again. So if anybody else has been and still has the details, please forward[msnsad][msncry]

We'd spend a lazy time at Celebration relaxing on the rocking chairs, having a walk around the lake and lunch at the Market Place cafe. Of course we'd have to go into the lovely shops there as well.[msnwink]
