What about the rest of the year?.... or am I a weirdo for liking February/March? (that was a rhetorical question, thank you!)

Okay, either I'm going mad..... or you've changed the poll from Oct/Nov/Dec to the full year.... I'm betting it's the latter as the pills haven't worn off yet.:D

We've been twice at the end of February/beginning of March and had great weather each time. Just a little cooler in the evenings and mostly in the high 70's/low 80's during the day. Only had one or two showers. Weather, it's a funny old thing.;)

July/August isn't doing too well, and sadly that's when we will have to go next year:(

Come on somebody - vote for July/August please:D

If someone asked me about the best time to go to Orlando and vicinity, I always say

1. Anytime in October or
2. Between 15th April & 15th May

I think prior to 15th April one may get caught-up in the Easter crowds while the risk of rain increases from the second half of May onwards.

Sorry Diane, I opted for anytime because there isnt a single day I wouldnt want to be in Florida, if I HAD to be pinned down to one time of year though it would be July/August :):)

Bet each month in Florida offers something[8D]That's why we all love it!!! So much choice[msnwink]

blott

That's right CarolAnn, just the very reason why I asked for an anytime option - I'd rather be in Florida any time! [8D]

We like Sep time best: it is coming upto the end of the Hurrican season, weather is normally great but the main reason is all the kids have gone back to school, both British and Amercian. Another good time is January for the same reason, the parks are almost empty. Would not visit in Jul/Aug or Easter as just too busy. Do go at New Year and this year we shall do Xmas to as the villa is closing around November.:D:D

Obviously if we had kids it would be a different story!

WE have got to go July/ August because of the kids - drat and blast - would much rather go Feb/March.

September is definately the best time to go - we've always had good weather then and the parks are pretty quiet.

I agree with Blott and a few others I would deffinately rather be in Florida ANY TIME of the year than anywhere else

But will find out about March next year[msntongue]

Wanted April-May but after much deliberation went for Mar-April.. with a caveat that not during Easter... where is that button??

Has anyone noticed that the options are almost as bad as some flight companies availability schedule... Never the right span of precise dates..

i wanted oct-nov and i set the poll up

beginning to think would have been better splitting into two as you only get eight options at the moment (not a criticism, just an explanation)

Sorry Tezz wasn't having a go at you... interestin to see ppl's preferenes... John for instance likes cold weather in Florida... Most of us prefer not to be there when the parks are busy (although kids force the issue).. and more importantly there is a decent spread of visitors across the year which indicates STR business is not a June through Sept. season!!

[/quote]Now there's a man after my own heart!

Just to explain, it's not cold in Florida in January/February - during the day it's around 70 - 75F, sunny with little rain but the evenings can be chilly. It's still a lot warmer than anywhere in the UK!

We spent a whole Xmas and new year there in 1989, during the day we were sunbathing it
was so nice, the parks were quite empty and the evenings were a bit chilly,

We love anytime of the year, we have tried different times of the year hoping to find one time we like the best, but it made things worse.
It just made us want to buy a villa and go whenever we could and as often.

So for us anytime is great.

Sun, rain or hail, we would go at the drop of a hat
