Hi I hope i don't drive you all mad asking loads of Q's but has anyone ever booked their holiday with a company called American Specialists, i believe they have an ofice in Manchester.
They have been reccommended to me, i understand they book villas etc in Kissimme, but you dont know which resort you will be going to stay in until you arrive, they say that all villas are around 20 mins from Diney and in kissimme, all i understand are meant to be top knotch.
Just wondered if you guys had heard of them and what you thought.
Cheers
Carrie

Haven't heard of them, have you considered doing it yourself and choosing a villa and therefore dealing directly with the owner. All the villas on this site have been verified and there is a link for flights and car hire. Its easier than you think to get it all sorted out.:)

Hi Carrie
Havent heard of this company in particular but it does seem as though a lot of companies work like this. We have been to florida for the last 5 years, the second year we were delayed & when we arrived at the office to pick the keys up there was a note to say that the villa they had intended to put us in was double booked & they hoped the replacement would be ok!!:(Luckily it was ok but I now know that we were paying way over the odds booking this way & with no real idea where we were going. Why not browse through some of the villas on this site - you'll be amazed at some of them & you can ask as many questions about individual villas as you like. flights & park tickets are easy to get through the links on the site too!!:)

I would NEVER NEVER EVER rent a villa and not know exacatly which one I am renting! There is too much variability. I want pictures, I want to know what I am getting upfront.

The owners of this site do not allow advertising of other companies that rent villas, as it's their competition. I know they delete links that can even potentially link to other rental sites, although sometimes they do allow a mention of another rental company to stay on here. Will be interesting to see if this one stays or goes.

Hi Carrie

Considering how much a holiday to Disney costs, with flight tickets and theme park tickets etc the accommodation will only end up being be a very small part of that cost BUT it may well be the most important aspect of your holiday as lousy accommodation can easily spoil your dream holiday whereas a home that you have chosen as being perfect for you can only help to make it even better.

You may also find that choosing the very villa you want to stay in will be cheaper than being put in an unknown area and an unknown villa. I just wouldnt take the chance given the vast choice of homes available on here. Have a look on www.orlandovillas.com www.villasflorida.com or www.onlinefloridavillas.com and you will see a vast choice of homes all offering beautiful accommodation and you can be sure of what you are getting and you can make an enquiry for a particular home or a general enquiry for owners who have your dates will contact you and let you know.

Good luck and happy holidays, Lesley

Thanks for your responses again, you are right i think i will look at this site and browse through the villas, i only thought about this one as they apparantly do it all for you.
i am sure it probably would be ok as i am sure there are no awful villas in florida and they were reccommended, but i agree half the fun is putting it all together, and some of the villas i have looked at are fab, only thing i might never want to move out and come back.
Cheers for all the info, i will log on to the site you mentioned now.[msnsmile]

Carrie,

It may well be the case that you find a home and not want to move out. Imagine what its like for us poor owners!!! When we go over I bet there isn't one owner on here that say they want to leave:(

Hi Matt
You are so right, just out of interest what are the Owners like with Squatters (ME) would they bodily remove me or could i be kept on as the cleaning lady? (Only joking), I feel like i am going Florida mad, do any of you feel like that?

Also my last post ,think it got lost, i was asking what it was like in Kissimmee?
Does anyone know (Of course you all know what am i thinking)
Cheers carrie

Carrie,

I had no problems with volunteers for cleaners, pool maintenance, sales reps and anything else anyone could think of. Looks like I'll have to get some bouncers on board too if I'm subject to squatters:D:D

Not too sure what your thinking on Kissimmee Carrie, but its a great place, and old town is very good also with loads to do.

Hi Carrie,
Please seriously think about planning your trip. You have received plenty genuine advice.
Twice in the last 18 months British tourists have arrived at a Company to collect their villa keys and found the office closed. The company, not the one you mention, had overbooked and didn't have enough villas to go round, so shut up and disappeared. I felt really sorry for those people, especially after a long flight and nowhere to stay.
The villas on this site are verified twice yearly by the site owners.
You also have the advantage that the owners on the sites Lesley gave you are always willing to assist you in many ways for a Holiday of a Lifetime.
Mike.
