Heres a fantastic place to visit on a rainy day. Beautiful inside with a roof all covered with dome so you feel like you are outside. Creek filled with fish running thru it. It has a shopping mall with all entrances running into the atrium. Have a cup of coffee and watch the dancing waters. Its a city in a city!
The buffet lunch is served from 12pm to 3pm and cost $18.
Breakfast buffet 11am till 2pm on Sunday $14 but go on a empty stomach
The resturaunt is called Villa de Flora
A must place to visit!!

It was going to be Opryland.

It's just off the Osceola Parkway - that HUGE place you see.

Friends of ours went and said we must go - will do next time! Great food - not cheap, and you must go and sit in a bar where the "hicks" come and talk to you. Great fun.

Like the sound of the Old Hickory steakhouse where you can eat steak or alligator with an aerial view of the bogs and swamps of the "fake" everglades. Now there's a decision. Has anyone out there ever eaten gator. What's it like???

Fiona, what are hicks? Now hickies I've heard of but hicks never.

We won't even go there!

Worzels?

It's an act in a bar where a couple come in with real southern accents and do a routine (as in very strong rather than correct accents!). He described them to me as real hicks (as if they have straw in their hair) from Hicksville!

Are you any the wiser? I wasn't, but he says it's very funny!

I'm slightly wiser Fiona - actually I'm getting a vision of some of Jerry Springer's guests, but I don't know if Hicksville is into inbreeding as much!

Now worzels I do know about, or rather Adge Cutler and the Wurzels. Showing my age now and can still remember the words to most of their songs.

Julie, I've had fried alligator tail many times. I like it a lot, it tastes a bit like chicken to me. Worth a try definately. Now did I spell that right or will I have Bill Hale after me. Guess who's been on TF today?

We ate at Villa De Flora last Saturday night in the Gaylord Palms and it was just fantastic. There are 4 seperate 'worlds' inside the atrium and the whole place has the feel of one of those Las Vegas mega-hotels we all see.

A definite must on our next trip (with Sarah this time :)).
