Sorry to trouble you all with yet more questions regarding premium economy.

As we have never flown long haul before can anyone tell me the difference betweem the premium economy and normal flying from Manchester to Orlando

Does premium economy still have the tv screens in backs of seats and also if you book prem economy are you all seated together or do you have to pay extra for this as well.

Dumb questions I know but would be grateful for any advice

Cheers and happy holidaying

Premium Economy has more leg room and larger seats and not as many seats in a row, think its 2-4-2. The TV's in the backs of the seats are slightly larger and you can book your seats in advance just like in economy, no extra charge.

You also get your own check-in desk at the airport so do not have to queue for so long.:)

If you usually fly charter and choose to fly regular economy you will notice the difference even without upgrading to premium economy.
If you do fly PE you can usually get seated together although the seating configuration is different.
Have a great trip.:)

I have flown Delta on business but only on Internal flights within the US. The service I found was pretty much the same as the other big airlines. Atlanta Airport is easy to get around, as there is a central link between all the gate areas. So I think you will find it fairly easy. Have a wonderful time.

We flew with Delta last August and changed in Atlanta. It was OK but the plane we were on had very limited entertainment but apart from that is was OK. It was the cheapest I could find last year so I was not moaning.

We went with them at Easter,as Paul said entertainment limited, no seat back TV's just a screen above approx every 10 rows. Seat room was as good as anyone else. The changeover at Atlanta was ok though, we knew we had got to change terminals and were worried that we would not have enough time but a train transferes you across it only takes about 10 minutes:).

We flew with Delta from Las Vagas to Orlando via Atlanta.

They were ok but nothing more, the in flight entertainment is nothing to write home about, but as ours was an overnight flight it didn't matter too much.

We had to change at Atlanta, but were able to check our bags all the way through to Orlando.

Atlanta is a very big airport so allow some time to get from one gate to the other.

The Outward journey is OK we have about 2 hours in between flights.
Its the inward journey that we are worried about!!

We only have one hour!!

I know we will miss it!!

Fingers crossed, this will be the first time ever I have wanted a delay!!

If we can check in our bags for the whole journey it will be OK I guess.

But knowing me, I will have to collect and then go across to the other terminal to check in again!

Andy, Diane

You will not be able to check your bags through on the outbound flight as you will need to clear Customs when entering the states.

However, for your return journey you will have no problems checking your backs through for Orlando back to London.

We to did this trip last March, Manchester to Orlando via Atlanta. The flights were OK but the change over at Atlanta is very tight. You need to collect all your luggage and recheck it in, and then clear imigration and customs.
You need to be fast on your feet and if you don't know where to go ask.
Make sure you fill in your green cards on the plane and double check them, any mistakes and imigration will send you to the back to the line!
But don't worry if you miss your connecting flight, then run every hour so you can just get the next one.
At least when you land at Orlando you can just pick up your bags and go.
Have a wonderful time.
