Depends how hot you like it. I've found March is warm but much cooler than this time of year. Also when I've rented in March I've found it almost essential to have to pay the villa owner for pool heating whereas this time of year I don't find it necessary. July/Aug can sometimes be unbearably hot...but maybe that's just me because I'm so fair skinned. July also seems to be much busier generally obviously because of the school holidays.

I would go in March rather than July of I had the choice. Better weather for us, not so hot and humid and much less rain:)

Again, personal choice but we always go around Easter.
The weather in July can be overpowering...especially if you have kids.
Although we need pool heat its seems much more pleasant than the outdoor heat in July - gives you the opportunity to do more outside activities.
I know it's more unpredictable - we maybe get one or two poor days ( so unfortunately we have to visit the malls those days! ) but I still think its better than the heat of July

I agree that March is a better time weatherwise, but the Easter Break (as you know in March in 2005) tends to be busy in the parks. You will have to allow for that.

I was over in March this year and loved it. I think March/April and September/October are the nicest months to visit Florida. I often find the middle of the summer too hot and sticky and end up dodging in and out of air-conditioning as often as I can to cool down.

If you intend to visit the parks the queues will be a lot less in March and you will get around quicker, so not need as many days ticket.
Also you accommodation and flights will both be less.
Plus it will not be as humid, we go in March each year.

Depends, if its next March its easter so it will be busy.....weather wise much nicer. I closed in April this year and the weather was perfect for the week I was there....enjoy[8D]

Have to agree with everyone else here and say March, the heat and rain outs us off in August but we are ruled by the school holidays as our eldest is in his GCSE years.:)

Hi Christine,
I didn't believe my sister in law (who now lives in Orlando) when she occasionally told us it was cold. We thought they were just going soft after being there for 5 years. But we went in March last year, and I took my usual supply of short sleeve shirts/ shorts and T-shirts.
Within a couple of days I was hunting out the sweatshirts and track bottoms as the temperatures were down to 40f in the mornings and only got to about 60ish in the afternoons. I think we were just unlucky last year, but if you do go in march I would pack a few warmer clothes as well. Went April this year, much better. Temps in mid 80s most days and very little rain. We've been in July too but it was too hot (90 - 100) and quite wet. Of the two I think I'd would still go for March!

When I have been in July in the past, I have sworn it will be the LAST time. The humidity and thunderstorms and unbearable heat really do get me down. However....... due to A-levels and GCS'E's this year, we are going in JULY! Hopefully this will be our last July visit. If I were you, I would opt for March, and as a precaution take a couple of warmer outfits. Chloe

Yes, we agree that March is a good time to visit, have been the last 4 years. We also like September , not as busy .

Don't bother packing too many - buy them when you're there - much cheaper...:):D:)
