Does anyone know if it is still ok for children under 16 to travel on their parents passport until oct 2004?

I think it depends on their nationality? My niece, who is only 9 years old, was required to get her own separate Indian passport both to travel to UK and USA. I suppose the regs will be different for EU nationals.

I do hope so as we go in two weeks and two of my three children are on my passport. Seriously I have checked with The Passport Office and Virgin and they have both said it is OK until October 04 for children to be on a British Passport and then for US they will need their own thereafter. Unless of course they change their minds ......

Children on a parents passport are ok upto October this year, from then on they have to have
their own passport. All passports have to be the machine readable ones, which I think the
majority are nowdays

So Karen you will be ok

I think if you you contact the passport office they will tell you to contact the embassy of the country concerned.
