When you pick up your hire car, make your first purchase a cool box. You can get a decent one for under £10 at any Wal-mart, Target. Leave it in your boot/trunk and fill it every trip with ice and bottles of drink from the supermarket.

On those hot days, you'll be glad you did, and you'll save yourself a small fortune!

If it's hot outside, while you're at the Walmart buy one of those battery powered fans atop a water spray bottle. They're half the cost of the same thing once you step through the gates at Disney.

We always take water bottles with a shoulder strap ( you can buy them at camping shops) with us to the parks filled with cold water which is better than soda when it is very hot, There are loads of water fountains in the parks and we fill them up as we walk past. The water in them is generally nice and cold. Cokes cost a lot and you are generally paying for a load of ice. Plus queuing up to buy them takes up precious time.

We always ask for drinks without the ice when at the parks as otherwise 50% of the drink ends up as water <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>.

You might also want to buy your plastic macs from the supermarket rather than when it is raining at the theme parks! They are a fraction of the price from Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Publix etc.

We always freeze our bottles of water in the freezer at home and take them in a small £1 shop cool bag for the day - take ages to melt even in the heat and they are so refreshing - don't put fizzy drinks in freezer they explode - don't ask me how I know???
