We are traveling out on 30th June from Manchester and was wondering is it cheaper to buy some drink (Vodka, Bacardi) from the duty free or to wait and buy it from a store in Kissimee. We are staying in a villa at Westridge and will be doing a bit of shopping on our first day, probably at Wall Mart or Publix

Thanks

We always get ours once we are out there $24 for a huge bottle of Vodka - I think its 1 1/2 litres. Look out for the local liquor store - Walmart and Publix don't sell it.

Where are you staying?

Publix at Poinciana Place (corner of 535 and 192) and Publix at Champions gate both have a seperate Liquor store. Walgreens also have a seperate liquor store, but the guy behind the counter there said that Walgreens were gradually pulling out of the liquor business.

didn't realise that Walmart/Publix dont sell alcohol, could I possibly be really cheeky and use this topic to ask where the nearest liquor store is to Hampton Lakes.....

I'm sure when we were at Walmart 2 years ago, we bought beer/wine, or have they stopped selling alcohol all together. This seems a bit strange for a huge supermarket not to sell alcohol!

Walmart and Publix both sell Beer and Wine.

They have a seperate liquor store next to theeir main stores for Hard Liquor such as Vodka, Jack Daniels etc.

It is only spirits that are not sold in the main stores.

Most UK duty Free shops are doing a deal at the moment.....2 bottles (litre) for £20. Not bad as it includes things like Bombay Saphire (Yum!) and Absolut Vodka.

We wait until we are there, $22.75 for 1.75L of JD.

You will find some of the other sprits like gin & vodka are of a higher proof if bought over there.

Happy drinking!:D

I adopt the same method. I buy six cans of beer and pour 2 down the loo. It saves getting up at night!!!!![msnscared][msntongue][msntongue]<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by chrisj

Andy C,

We spotted a liquor store on the 27 (north bound) near the National bank of Polk County just before the junction with the 192. I think it's called Victoria Wine, haven't been in there so don't know what it's like but sounds like it may be owned by Brits. I'm not certain but I think there may also be one in the new Publix plaza on the 27, I know there is definitley a tobacconist there as I bought cigars for my Dad. We always buy beer and wine from Publix.

There is one on the OBT next to the publix there, not far from Crescent lakes
