An article in the orlandosentinel re pleasure island is now 'free' to enter for the summer months for a trail period. You can now wander around pleasure island after 7pm, albeit the $21.84 admission fee is payable if you want to enter one of the night clubs. It now makes it more like universal's city-walk.

I remember when it was free all the time
I thought you've always had to pay to get into pleasure island after 7pm ever since it opened.?
We didnt have to when we first went there, mind you it was a while ago

When we first went, PI was available in your ten days of extras with your Disney ticket. This was great as you could go to Typhoon Lagoon in the day and then PI in the evening without sacrificing anything else!
Oh, for the good old days!
You still get access to PI with the 10 Day World Pass, so I presume that you could still do the two parks on the same day.

I am talking about park hoppers! You used to get ten unlimited days entry from the first time you used your Disney ticket, now you get a set amount of extra options to use in place of this. The freedom has gone!
