Do you have information about Chatham Park - It's supposed to be minutes from Disney World. Is this a holiday resort? nice area for family with young children?. I am trying to decide between 2 properties for my family - one a 3 bed in Chatham Park, the other a 4 bed in Aylesbury (not quite sure where - but this is supposed to be residential area). Not sure whether to go with the chatty Chatham agent or the one in Aylesbury. ANy information/ advice most appreciated

Hi

I know nothing at all about Aylesbury, but do know a little about Chatham Park. It is a lovely development in a quiet residential area.
It is reasonably close to Kissimmee and close to Disney. I have had guests insist that they wanted to stay there because they have been to this development before - so that is a good recommendation in itself. You wouldn't have any problems getting around and it would be a lovely place to stay.

Hope this helps. And sorry that I can't say anything about Aylesbury.

PS: My own villa is not in Chatham Park - so I have no ulterior motive!!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

My villa is neither in Chatham Park or Ayslebury - and I don't know anything about Chatham.
Aylesbury, I found out yesterday, is about 2 miles south of I4 Junction 55, on the US27 (turn left at Red Carpet Inn and then 2nd on left). It is a residential area, seems very small, I would guess approx 50 houses, but as handy to Disney as most developments along US27 between I4 and US192.

Chatham Park is opposite Hamilton's Reserve and is an older estate. This is near a large Publix and offers easy access to Universal, Sea World as well as Disney.

I don't know about Aylesbury - is it a new estate on the 27?

Well, wot can I say, I can help with Alysbury, I've stayed there!!!

We have some friends who own a 4 bed, 3 bath on there. It is a very small community (one street!), no pavement to walk on, nothing to do in the evening, have to drive to get anywhere.

Don't know Chatham Park so can't see which is the better, like everything I guess it depends on the size of budget and what really underpins your choice eg great location, on site amenties, or not too bothered.

Thank you all very much for your feedback. It has been most helpful and I wonder why I didn't use the Forum much earlier. We have decided on the Chatham area. It feels like it is the right choice. I can only hope the children will enjoy themselves

Oh, the children will have a whale of a time! We've stayed at Chatham Park and I'm sure you'll have a great time in Florida!
