View Full Version : Extending our Holiday

We are going for 3 weeks this July obviously under the Visa Waiver
system. Due to the job possibly going a week before we leave and it
being the school holidays. As we are already in Florida, can we just
stay for another 2 weeks.

Have a quote to change the flights back to UK. Can arrange an extension of the car hire, or will arrange another car. Have some
friends that will let us use their place in the Keys. So no real
problem apart from are we allowed to stay for say 5 weeks ??

I wouldn't have thought this would be any problem Chris, as you're allowed to stay for 90 days under the Visa Waiver Program. I'm sure someone else could elaborate on this point.

Lucky you! is all I can say. [8D]

That will be no problem at all Chris. We are staying for 4 weeks in the summer, wish we could make it 5. Have a great stay:)

Well its only an idea at the moment, with no job and a payoff cheque im thinking why not
stay a bit longer as we are already there, then worry about a job when we get back

You can stay up to 90 days Chris on a visa waiver if you want to get really carried away! :D Just check the date the Immigration people stamp into your passport and you know you're safe up until then - just make absolutely sure that you're well out of any part of the US before midnight (a bit like Cinderella!).

If you booked your car through this site, just let Roger know you want to extend it and have a credit card handy.

Like Blottie says, if you are within the date stamp in your passport, there will be no problem.
We have extended our stays several times ~ and those extra days always seem even more special !
Enjoy :D

Karen, that would be so fantastic if you don't make it to Florida. I went to Mass when I was 18 and loved it. How long is the drive from Orlando?
