Popped down to old town last night, (178 cars in the parade and i recognised about 4 types). We had our normal mooch around after the cruise, and as we were leaving we came across it. As some of you will know they have an open air band playing mainly rock 'n roll, but tonight they were playing more rock than roll. Steppenwolf, Free that type of thing. And out front were some people line dancin. Now i always thought that line dancin was done to country music, but i've been educated. (not on country music i hasten to add). Seeing a group of mature Ladies and Gents performing to 'born to be wild' was most certainly an eye-opener and brought a smile on my face. The enthusiasm of some of them, and the glint in their eye's. We scarper'd quick.:)

If its done to good music it can be great fun! Used to stay in a hotel in New York which had a club downtairs which did line dancing to great music - not a pretty sight seeing a tipsy BA crew line dancing though!!

It is not my cup of tea personally but whilst reading it, it reminded me of when we went to Nashville to the Crazy Horse Saloon, there were hundreds of people doing it, could not drag us up though!!!

I always thought line dancing was for...well, senior citizens mainly. I am not quite there yet and still prefer rock 'n' roll.
