Can you get onto hi-way 27 stright off I-4 or do you have to use the 192?

Hi, It depends where you want to get to as both routes will get you to the US27.

The I4 intersects the US27 at J55 (about 10 miles south of Disney), so if you are staying near there you would head south on the I4 and pick up the US27.

If you are staying higher up, your best bet would be to go west on the 192 and pick up the 27 that way.

For 1st time drivers from the airport I would reccomend to avoid the 192 just to get used to the roads.

We're gonna be staying at westridge.
I was thinking it may be less hectic going I-4 then the 27 rather than i-4, 192, 27.
This will be our third visit so I'm not to worried about the driving.

Westridge is about mid point, so it doesnt matter which way you go.

I would suggest that if your happy with driving in the US then its probably easier to avoid the I4 south below Disney (which gets very busy, plus roadworks) and go across the 192 and then onto the 27 south.

Got to agree with Fozzie as that is the way we go to Highlands

I would suggest going down the I4 and exit @ 58, going through Champions Gate and via the 54 to the 27, turning right to go back up the 27. avaois the 192. we always go that way to calabay Parc

Hi Mick, we have our villa just off US-27, I would suggest staying on I4 to junction 55, then taking the 27 to Westridge. The 192 around Disney is busy nearly all day, and has many traffic lights. If you are coming from Orlando International, we would recommend taking the 417, which drops you nicely onto the I4 just South of the main Disney exits, then it is plain sailing to Junction 55. Fozzie is right about roadworks, but these tend to slow the traffic more heading East. Enjoy Florida.

Mick

I have three villas on Westridge and one opposite on Hampton Lakes, I always come off from the I-4 at junction 58 ( Champions Gate ) right onto the CR54 ( Loughman) and the up Hwy 27, it takes a couple of minutes from the moment you hit the 27.

The 192 is great but then you have all the traffic lights.

We tend to avoid the 192 most of the time. My friend lives in Kissimme and she has told us all the back roads from 27 to St Clouds end of the 192. Its great.

Whether we are coming from Sanford or Orlando airport we always come down last part of I4 and turn off at J58. Gives us a chance to stop off at Publix at Champions Gate and stock up on the essentials (milk, ice cream and beer) before going onto our villa at Westridge
